Systemic lupus erythematosus disease activity state (SLE-DAS) is a validated 17-item composite index with continuous measurement properties for lupus disease activity assessment [1-5]. In external validation, as compared to SLEDAI-2K, SLE-DAS presented higher accuracy in measuring SLE disease activity, better sensitivity to detect a clinically meaningful change, as well as higher performance in predicting damage accrual [1].
